About Marcus
I am a professional actor. I trained at the Guildhall School and I have worked for companies including the National Theatre and The Royal Exchange in Manchester and extensively on television. I have taught drama in a number of settings over many years, working mostly with teenagers. DBS Checked.

I take a classical and practical approach to my acting lessons . We will work on all aspects of speech, breathing, relaxation, posture, focus and creative thinking in order to make a text 'come alive' in a truthful way (Shakespeare to contemporary works). For drama school auditions I can help you make your pieces stand out and give you techniques for controlling your nerves and help you to avoid common audition pitfalls . While I was at drama school I took people in for their auditions for two of the years I was there , and saw many people making the same mistakes again and again. Professionally, I have been to hundreds of auditions. For Lamda we will work to your grade and follow the syllabus. I want you to enjoy your lessons, to help improve your technique and to build your confidence.

Marcus is about as good as you could get as an acting coach, with the experience he has accrued. He's worked across every medium, is highly skilled himself and is able to communicate direction clearly without bombarding with too many notes.
He has a current working knowledge of the Drama Schools and the business, being on an Equity committee.
I also work as a coach, if I wanted an outside eye to help me for an audition, I would go to Marcus.Excellent teacher. Recommend.
