About Victoria
As a guitar teacher, my goal is to cultivate a welcoming and motivating space where students can develop both technical mastery and personal artistic expression. Lessons begin with foundational techniques such as posture, finger dexterity, chord changes, and strumming, always integrated through songs and genres that align with the student’s tastes—blues, folk, rock, pop, or more.
I incorporate applied music theory that demystifies chord progressions, scales, rhythm, and song form, helping students connect the dots between theory and practical playing to boost creativity. I prioritize clear, patient communication and adapt lessons to suit each student’s learning preferences and goals, whether they are visual, auditory, or kinesthetic learners. To keep the learning process engaging and rewarding, I use backing tracks, metronome work, rhythmic drills, and visual aids that encourage active participation and consistent improvement.
I believe guitar should be a source of joy and self-expression rather than frustration, so I share stories of guitarists who persisted through setbacks to inspire students. In addition to technical proficiency, I teach tone control, improvisation, sight-reading, performance preparation, and effective practice strategies, giving students a well-rounded musical toolkit. Whether playing for fun or preparing for gigs, I strive to provide patient, personalized guidance that helps students flourish.
