About Amy
Hi! My name's Amy and I am currently studying criminology, archaeology and anthropology at Durham. I’ve almost completed my third and final year so if you have any questions surrounding University life or Durham in particular don't be scared to get in contact! Like you all I used My Tutor during both my GCSE's and A Levels, making me exceedingly familiar with the layout and use of this wonderful website. I have been tutoring in person for 2 years and have only recently made the move over to virtual tutoring, but this makes me no less experienced! I achieved level 8's (or 2 A*'s for those who prefer the older system) in both English language and Literature at GCSE, and I'm excited to help you do the same! I can also help with understanding how to succeed in essay writing/dissertation writing at University! Thanks for reading and I hope to talk to you soon!

I tailor my lessons to the learning style of the student, the use of visual aids, hands on practice or instructional/reading material, for example, are all examples of ways I attempt to adapt my teaching for everyone. Our first session would just be a get to know each other meeting where students can decide if I’m the right fit for them, and I can learn their learning style in case they decide to continue on with me.
