I am a past student of Philip. Philip was the best teacher I have ever had in my life, he believed in his students when many other teachers didn’t. You knew when going into his class that it would be a relaxed environment, as well as an environment where you were going to learn a lot. If ever put in difficult situations, Mr Staines was always there to listen and to understand. With a unique way of teaching, the information definitely got across to me.
For the 5 years that Philip taught me it would be safe to say that it was my favourite class, and I would highly recommend him as a tutor, or teacher.

Hi my name is Daniel and I am an ex student of Philip. To me Philip was more than just a teacher. He would come to each individual in the class speak to them not as if they were his students but more like his friends. He would push us to our limits and made sure we got the highest grades possible. MR Stains is truly a phenomenal teacher and is more than highly recommended.

He taught me in high school for my Media studies Btec. He was absolutely amazing. I know that what he taught me has stuck because I often still think of the things we learnt! Mr Staines was also so understanding and was happy to re explain when we needed, or if we needed more time to finish our work. The most calm teacher I've ever had!!! And loveliest!

He is an amazing Teacher who is the sole reason I an now a Broadcast Engineer. His enthusiasm and optimism bleeds through to his students, and I have never known a student of his who doesn't smile when going into his lessons.

Philip is an amazing Audio Visual Media teacher, who I had the pleasure of working along side in a creative arts dept for three years. He is an effective communicator with both colleagues and students, delivering high levels of differentiated teaching. It was a great pleasure to work with Philip and feel he would make a really strong member of any team.
