About Rue
With 8 years of experience teaching ESL to high school and college learners, I bring a personalized, supportive, and result-oriented approach to language education. I believe that every student deserves a learning experience that fits their pace, interests, and goals. That’s why each of my lessons is carefully crafted to meet individual needs—whether a student is preparing for exams, building speaking confidence, or improving academic writing.
My teaching style is based on interactive learning and real-world application. I incorporate conversations, reading exercises, writing practice, grammar activities, and guided feedback to strengthen both fluency and accuracy. I emphasize practical usage of English so students can understand how to apply what they learn in class, school assignments, presentations, and everyday situations. My approach is clear, patient, and dynamic, keeping students motivated and supported throughout their learning journey.

My teaching methodology for ESL is built around the principles of Compassion, Integrity, and Adaptability. I believe compassion is the foundation of successful language learning because it encourages trust and reduces the anxiety many students feel when speaking in a new language. I approach each student with patience, encouragement, and a deep understanding of their challenges. This helps learners overcome hesitation and express themselves comfortably.
Integrity shapes the structure of my teaching. I provide clear guidance, purposeful lessons, and honest feedback that helps students grow at a steady pace. Each session is planned with a specific goal in mind—whether improving grammar accuracy, expanding vocabulary, enhancing conversation skills, or building confidence. I communicate openly about the learning process so students always know what to expect and how their progress is measured.
Adaptability plays a major role in tailoring lessons to each individual’s needs. I adjust my teaching style to support visual, auditory, and interactive learners. I incorporate reading texts, speaking activities, real-life scenarios, pronunciation practice, and listening exercises to keep learning dynamic and enjoyable. My aim is to make English practical and accessible, not overwhelming.
In addition to ESL, I can teach subjects connected to communication and academic skill-building. My overall focus is to guide learners toward fluency and confidence through a balanced, student-centered approach.
