About Makayla
Well, this is the fun part! Hello, I'm Makayla, and I can't wait to help you on your education journey. I am passionate about helping students reach their full potential and am dedicated to providing a supportive and encouraging learning environment. My goal is to help students improve academically and instill confidence and a love for learning in each of them. The most essential skill in life is learning, and I'm honored that you're considering me to aid you. I graduated from college and high school in the same month (crazy I know), so not only can I provide direct help with homework and class material but also help with organization, time management, and helping you become the student you are. Our tutoring sessions will be a healthy balance of laughs and many head-scratchers. I challenge my students only because I know they can go beyond what they think they know. I believe in creating a supportive and encouraging environment where you can thrive academically. Together, we can work towards reaching your full potential and achieving your academic goals. I started tutoring in 9th grade. I'd say I'm set apart from other tutors due to my ability to get on my students' level and understand how to teach them. I believe this personalized approach has significantly improved my students' understanding and grades. Additionally, I am constantly seeking feedback from students and parents to ensure that I meet their expectations and adapt my teaching methods accordingly. I am very excited to be able to tutor all age groups (K-12). I am skilled in all subjects but specialize in math and science. My typical lesson plan usually uses what the student is already learning in school and adjusts according to their needs. If they need help with homework, I'm here to help, even if they have an important exam coming up.
