About Maxime
I am a graduate in economics from HEC Montreal, with extensive experience tutoring post-secondary students (from college to MBA). Since my graduation, I have been an Economics and Policy Analyst at the Chamber of Commerce of Montreal. Through these combined experiences, I have developed a thorough understanding of the way our markets evolve, as well as a strong discernment on the impact of micro and macro economical and political decisions.

My approach to teaching is based on your needs. I know that we all have different ways of learning and that it is important to consider what works best for oneself. This is why my teaching style is built on our interactions and on my evaluation of your progress.
I share advice on how to best learn the material. I take notes on your progression, which I will be sharing with you in order for you to reach your highest potential. Questions are always welcome in my tutoring sessions, as I firmly believe it is far more important to ask than to stay in the dark.
My classes are structured according to your learning goals. Whether it is to succeed in a class at school, or if it is a desire to learn more about a subject I am tutoring, my classes are based on theoritical and practical knowledge. We will use material such as Powerpoint presentations, books, articles, exercises and an occasional video. I also like to give real-life examples to better grasp notions. We will follow your rythm and adjust the material as we move forward. I do not believe in straight lines when it comes to knowledge, but I believe in everyone's ability to learn.
