About Jack
I am a bass guitarist, composer and music teacher. My teaching style reflects my varied experience working as a performer; I like to explore many different music genres with my students. Through practice and listening I aim to help them discover the skills they need to understand and perform music. Music is like a language. Studying can be a chore, but if you dedicate some time to it you will soon realise you are learning each time you listen to a tune, or jam with your friends. For this reason I prefer an aural approach, so that the musician can appreciate and analyse music by ear alone. My lessons focus on ear training, music theory, music appreciation and bass guitar technique. About me... I am a musician from England with experience playing and teaching across Asia in places such as China, Singapore, Thailand and South Korea. There I worked as a performing musician at bars, festivals, events, recording sessions, TV shows, hotels, concerts, etc. During this time I was also teaching students - privately, in schools and at workshops/ activities. I recently moved back to England to study jazz performance. University : - Trinity Laban - Jazz Performance [Currently Studying]

Very succinct and effective teachings of harmony and bass movement through chord progressions. Getting used to identifying specific harmonic movements in pieces and improvising using said harmonic devices.
Jack is a very skilled musician and teacher. He helped me learning technical and music theory I had struggled with for years. I highly recommend him as a bass guitar and music teacher.
