About Thomas
Hi, I'm Tom and I've been playing the guitar for over 15+ years I started playing as a kid and absolutely fell in love with the guitar.
I am passionate about great music and sharing the techniques and methods I use to break down songs into fun chunks that are easy to learn and more importantly, get results. I believe that music should be fun and rewarding and it's my job to make sure you get the most out of the instrument!
I have been regularly gigging since I was 15 and have had the opportunity to play in various styles in some really cool venues (from weddings to concert halls) with hundreds of different musicians.

I believe in a largely goal-based approach to music education with students setting their own fun, achievable goals based on songs/genres they like, giving students the chance to develop their own style and life confidence and not feel funneled into a single genre.
The average lesson breaks down to 15 minutes of general discussion (where we can warm up and update student goals) and 45 minutes of live playing where we will dive into not just how to play a song, but also how songwriting really works and explore some fun and easy ways to learn songs faster for next time!
My experience in guitar teaching began during my Degree studies in music performance, I have always put a strong focus on teaching from learning songs and not just focusing on the purely technical elements of music (it's meant to be fun!).
I have taught a wide range of abilities from absolute beginners to semi-professional and professional guitarists.
