About Katerina
I am an Electrical Engineering Lecturer with experience teaching and assessing students across a range of qualifications, including HNC/HND, T-Level Engineering, apprenticeships, and degree-level electrical engineering.
Over the years, I’ve worked with students of very different abilities, from those who are confident and aiming for distinctions to those who are struggling to pass core units. This has given me a good understanding of where students typically get stuck, especially with engineering maths, circuit theory, and applying concepts in exam conditions.
I also have experience marking and assessing student work, so I understand how exam questions are actually graded and what examiners are looking for. This is often what makes the difference between just understanding a topic and actually scoring well in assessments.
Outside of teaching, I focus on keeping explanations simple and practical, breaking down complex topics into steps that are easier to follow and apply.
My goal in tutoring is always the same: help you build confidence, improve your understanding, and get the results you need in your course.

My lessons are designed to help students studying Electrical Engineering at degree, HNC/HND, T-Level, and apprenticeship level, as well as engineering maths. I focus on making the core ideas clear and easy to understand, then building up problem-solving skills so you can tackle exam questions, assignments, and resits with more confidence.
Sessions are practical and adapted to your level, whether you need help catching up, preparing for assessments, or just making sense of difficult topics.
