About Riley
I am an experienced flute instructor with over 9 years of teaching background, guiding students towards steady musical growth. I teach flute to school students, college learners, and working professionals at beginner to advanced levels. My teaching philosophy is based on clarity, consistency, and encouragement. I emphasise breath control, tone production, finger flexibility, and rhythm stability.
For advanced learners, I introduce expressive phrasing and articulation control. I also teach music theory, sight reading, rhythm counting, and ear training to build complete musicianship.
I design personalised lesson plans to suit individual goals and learning pace. My unique skill is motivating students to practise regularly and perform confidently.

My flute teaching methodology balances technical discipline with creative expression, supported by Adaptation to Learning Styles, Flexibility, Collaboration, and Positivity.
I focus on developing strong breath support, embouchure control, tone clarity, finger agility, articulation precision, and intonation accuracy. Structured practice routines ensure consistent improvement.
Understanding that students learn differently, I adapt my methods accordingly. I use demonstrations, slow breakdowns, repetition drills, and practical applications to reinforce concepts.
Flexibility is important in my lessons. Whether a student is preparing for examinations, competitions, or casual learning, I adjust repertoire and practice intensity accordingly.
Collaboration plays a key role in engagement. I involve students in selecting pieces and encourage reflective practice.
Positivity ensures a comfortable environment where students feel safe to experiment and grow. Alongside flute training, I also teach music theory, rhythm counting methods, ear training, and performance confidence.
