About Agne
At the age of 6, I started my journey as a performer in Lithuania, where I have won multiple national flute competitions. In 2019 I began my studies with Katherine Bryan at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland where I was awarded the prestigious Scotts Trust Undergraduate scholarship. Upon graduating, I performed with BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, Mediterranean Opera Studio Festival Orchestra and Berlin Opera Academy Symphony Orchestra in prestigious venues around Europe. I am highly organised and keep records of my students’ progress and their weekly goals to ensure that each student's musical journey is guided and measured. My aim is to instil a genuine love for music learning, regardless of the career paths students may choose in the future. Building strong relationships with both students and parents through regular communication is a priority for me. I understand that a supportive learning environment is essential for students to thrive and for parents to feel confident in their child's musical education.

Explore the art of flute playing through my student-led lessons, shaped by my immersive experience with Trevor Wye's pedagogy. As a resident of his Flute Studio, I absorbed an array of teaching methods, emphasising crucial elements like breath control, posture, and support applicable at every stage of a student's musical progression. For younger learners, I integrate Trevor Wye’s practice books, Abracadabra Flute, and Vamoosh to lay a foundation of comprehensive musical understanding. My lessons are inspired by Dalcroze techniques incorporating enjoyable methods for rhythm and pulse. Within my lessons, creativity is paramount—featuring physical exercises, encouraging improvisation, and guiding students to fully embody their instruments. I believe in fostering an experiential understanding of music, aspiring to instil a profound and lasting connection between students and the flute. Join me on a musical journey where students actively shape their learning experience!

I’ve always enjoyed working with Agne, she’s always really well prepared and comes in with a smile.
Agne is not only a highly developed flautist herself, her teaching is inspiring, motivating and she is always very patient. She is very passionate about music and shares that with her students, has solution for (technical) problems and really encourages me to spend more time with the flute.
Agne is a kind and supportive teacher who has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to flute playing. She tailors all her lessons to suit the needs of her pupils and will adapt when necessary. As a classroom music teacher I would recommend any of my pupils to get lessons from Agne as she will not only improve the pupils flute playing but will also improve their general musicality and love for music.
