About Will
My name is Will Coveley, and I am a Maths and Economics tutor currently studying at the University of Nottingham. I am a patient, reliable, and well-organised tutor who takes a professional and results-driven approach to teaching. I have experience teaching GCSE students in person at a local secondary school, which has helped me develop clear communication skills and an ability to adapt my explanations to suit different learning styles and abilities. I understand the pressures students face around exams and aim to create a supportive environment where they feel confident asking questions and making progress. I place a strong emphasis on exam technique and effective revision strategies, ensuring students understand what examiners are looking for and how to translate their knowledge into marks. My tutoring approach is structured, supportive, and strongly focused on exam performance. I aim to help students not only understand the material, but also learn how to apply it effectively under exam conditions to maximise marks. My lessons are tailored to each student’s needs, with clear explanations, guided practice, and regular use of exam-style questions. I place particular emphasis on exam technique, including understanding mark schemes, avoiding common mistakes, structuring answers clearly, and managing time effectively in exams. Detailed feedback is given throughout to build confidence and consistency. Lessons are typically 60 minutes long, allowing time for concept reinforcement, practice, and targeted feedback. Longer sessions can be arranged when appropriate, particularly in the lead-up to exams. I study at the University of Nottingham and have in-person teaching experience at GCSE level, having taught at a local secondary school. This has given me experience working with students of different abilities and adapting my teaching style to suit individual learners. I tutor GCSE and A-level students in Maths and Economics, and my lessons are suitable for students aiming to improve understanding, build confidence, and optimise their exam results.
