About Brendon
I've never tutored one-on-one till now. That's not to say I've never taught, mind you, but most of my experience is in teaching other engineers in my team about a part of whatever project we're working on. This takes the form of many graphs, and equations which I lecture over while taking questions.
I'm almost done with my Bachelors of Science for mechanical engineering, and physics. I've been in college for six years because I'm taking a double major, but I hope to finish as soon as I can go back in person.

There are many pleasures in life, but for me the most precious one is the "Aha!" moment. As a teacher I bring wonder into the lives of my students by challenging them to articulate their understanding of the method used for solving a complex problem. Once that has been achieved it is simply a matter of practice before the method is internalized, freeing the understanding to be used as leverage against other similar problems.
The tool I employ most frequently in my sessions is visualization, the most intuitive, and universal way that science is communicated. My first move after being caught in the headlights of a puzzle is to see it more clearly by drawing the figures which come to mind, and my students learn to do the same instinctually. There's certainly a lot of training to be done on the toughest of problems, but these should all hang on what you see on the piece of paper in front of you!
Science is the key to the secrets of nature, and it's right down that path in front of you. Don't worry. I've been walking this path for half my life, and I can assure you that the grade levels off. I'm here to share my best tricks, and to cheer you on!
