About Sithum
Hi, I’m Sithum I’m a civil/structural engineer based in Christchurch and I’ve been working in the industry for about four years, mainly on residential projects. That means I use math and physics every day and I’m used to explaining tricky ideas in simple, practical ways. Outside work I play club cricket, go to the gym, and enjoy a few creative hobbies, so I’m pretty laid-back and patient. My lessons are relaxed but focused – lots of questions, examples, and step-by-step help – with the goal of building confidence as well as grades.

I’m a structural engineer with 4 years of professional experience and a civil engineering degree. I tutor NCEA Maths and Physics for Years 9–13. Lessons are usually 60–90 minutes and focused on building understanding first, then exam skills. I break problems into clear, step-by-step methods, use real world examples to make concepts stick, and give targeted practice questions plus feedback.
