About Ayomide
As a supportive Maths tutor, I aim to create a learning environment where every student feels capable and confident. I understand that many learners need more than just explanations — they need someone who is patient, clear, and genuinely invested in their progress. My teaching style focuses on breaking concepts down simply, building understanding step by step, and helping students approach Maths with confidence rather than anxiety. With a strong academic background in Engineering from University College London and extensive experience mentoring secondary school up to college, I bring both subject expertise and professionalism to every lesson. I prepare thoroughly, communicate clearly, and tailor sessions to each student’s pace and goals. Above all, I want my students to feel supported, motivated, and reassured that with the right guidance, they can excel in Maths.

I teach Mathematics using a clear, structured, and confidence-building approach. My lessons focus on helping students understand core concepts before applying them to progressively challenging problems. I use step-by-step explanations, examples, active problem-solving, and real-time feedback to strengthen understanding and exam technique. A typical lesson lasts 60 minutes and includes a short recap, focused teaching of a concept, guided practice, independent problem-solving, and a brief review of next steps. I tailor every session to the student's learning style and pace. I hold a BEng (Hons) in Electronics and Electrical Engineering from UCL, with strong grounding in advanced maths. I have experience mentoring students through A-Level Maths topics, delivering STEM workshops, and supporting international learners across different educational backgrounds. I tutor students from secondary school through college, including international and university-pathway learners who require structured, supportive preparation for further study.
