About Akshat
My name is Akshat and I grew up in India. My father was an Air force pilot and my mother was a biology teacher.
I completed my engineering back in 2013 and then I moved to England where I spent 2 years, first completing my masters degree and then working for a few months.
After working in India for around 6 years in the engineering industry my journey brought me to Canada around 3 years back. I have worked here in Canada at a manufacturing firm for 2 years.
Teaching students is something that has always brought me pleasure. I taught high school students math and I have conducted basic piano lessons in the past.

Teaching Methods -
My teaching methods are not orthodox as a result of the fact that I have no formal teaching training. So you can expect a more intense approach to learning maths through me.
I most typically try for my students to understand why they are solving a particular sum rather than just doing the calculations. Sure maths is hard, but if you remove the calculation part of it (which can be improved through practice), math questions are basically brain teasers which can be fun. My aim is for students to understand the underlying fun in solving the problem rather than stressing over the computation.
Lessons Offered -
Middle school to high school mathematics (virtual/in person)
3-5 times a week, 1 hour a day
Lessons will include -
-Completion of the course from your standard school text book
-Practice sums from an additional text book/online test papers
-timed mock tests closer to examinations
-doubt solving sessions at the end of every lesson
