About James
I spend a lot of time writing and reading, both professionally and recreationally. I have an upper second class honours (2:1) degree in English and Creative Writing from the University of Salford. I've had a children's flash fiction piece published in, "The Best of Cafe Lit 2013", and I'm currently working on several projects including: short stories, television and film scripts, as well as my first novel.

I believe in the use of constructive criticism, showing rather than telling, and an open-minded approach to learning. I think it's better to assess your work by focusing on the positives to build confidence, then, once you're happy with those parts, offering help and support so that you yourself manage to correct your own mistakes, rather than me just telling you. That way you become a better reader, a better writer, and a better critic of not just your own work, but anything else you come across, too.
