About Sarah
I am an arts producer, working for a non-profit organisation that supports authors and writers in NSW. In my spare time I read books, ride bikes and try my hardest to bake the tastiest loaf of bread (still working on it!).
I have a Bachelor of Arts - majoring in Film Theory and Culture - from the University of Melbourne, and a Masters of Arts Management from RMIT. I have a bit of spare time in my current work, and I'd like to fill it by getting excited about ideas and words again! So let's learn!

I believe in patience, empathy and understanding when it comes to teaching. I learned by discussion - working through ideas and topics, not rote learning. I also think it takes real interest and engagement with the ideas to fully understand and master concepts, so my lessons will involve games and in-depth discussions with students on what interests them, what gets them excited about the subject - and pursuing these as a technique to understand and manipulate theories and concepts. There is nothing more exciting as a young person to not only grasp an understanding of the way the world works around you, but to be able to discuss it and add ideas of your own - that is the objective of my lessons.
