About McKenzie
I am a fourth-year university student majoring in English with the goal of teaching it as a second language. My undergraduate courses have provided me with the knowledge I need to build a lesson plan and utilize different teaching methods. Not only have I learned methodology, but I have also put the skills into practice. Throughout my four years of college, I have taught English as a volunteer in Colombia, as well as at a local elementary school.

I tailor my lessons to the individual needs and interests of the students, which allows me to adapt each lesson based on the progress of the previous class. My classes focus on grammar and pronunciation improvement, followed by conversation and speaking prompts to practice the material. I have taught students of all proficiency levels, ages 6-47.
