About Shreya
I am a 4th-year undergraduate student majoring in Microbiology with a minor in Information Technology at UMass Amherst. Over the past few years, I’ve built strong academic and communication skills through research, leadership, and campus involvement. I’ve worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant in a neuroscience lab, served as Fundraising Chair for MEDCONNECT, and led as Captain of the UMass JAZBA dance team. These roles have taught me how to manage time, communicate clearly, and work effectively with others. My experience includes presenting scientific work, writing lab reports, and mentoring students in both science and English. I’ve helped peers improve their grammar, essay structure, and public speaking skills. My tutoring is grounded in patience, structure, and clarity—especially for students from STEM backgrounds who want to strengthen their English. I believe in creating a comfortable space where students feel confident to ask questions and grow.
