About Me: As a current BA English student at UCL, I am well-equipped to provide tutoring in English, History, and Philosophy. With a strong passion for these subjects, I am confident in my ability to help students of all levels achieve their academic goals. Lesson Structure: My approach to tutoring is centred around the individual needs of each student. Here's what you can expect from our lessons: Initial Assessment: In our first lesson, we will review your current marks and progress through the course structure. This will help me understand your strengths and weaknesses, and identify areas where you need the most support. If you're closer to exams, we will use this lesson to complete a past paper, giving us a clear picture of your preparedness and highlighting key areas for improvement. Holistic Learning: I believe that learning should be a holistic experience, extending beyond the confines of the classroom. I encourage all my students to engage in reading for pleasure, as this helps to develop critical thinking skills, improves focus, and fosters a deeper understanding of the subject matter. Targeted Support: Within our lessons, we will focus precisely on the areas where you need the most support. I will work with you to identify problem areas, develop strategies for improvement, and provide guidance on how to apply these strategies effectively.
