About Aqsa
Hello! My name is Aqsa and I have just finished my university degree in English Literature. From experience, I know what it feels like to be overwhelmed by a book that you have no idea on how to interpret. That is why I can help identify, explain and support you throughout your reading journey. One of the great skills I have acquired during my time at university is the attention to detail – I am able to spot small details that can help you achieve high marks. After all, English is subjective!
If you are looking for a dedicated, helpful and communicative tutor who won’t leave you confused, then look no further. I believe that the best way to improve your knowledge is to make lessons both informative and stimulating, with the main goal here is providing students to become intellectually interested and stimulated in the learning process.
I have tutored previously on numerous occasions, and this has taught me to be more considerate and sensitive to the needs of young children whilst teaching them. Some of the children I tutored had learning disabilities and required extra support, thus, working with them required empathy and, sometimes, a great deal of patience.

My teaching methodology is dependent on what the student needs help with. For instance, if the student requires help with analysing a passage, then I will guide them through how to read a passage with a specific frame of mind that will help them with analysis, as well as giving them key terms and techniques to boost their grades. My teaching has an equal tutor:student ratio as I believe that with my guidance, students are able to use what they have learned from me as well as any other pointers they have garnered.
Typically, I base classes on what the student needs more help on whether it be analysis, essay help or even deciphering past exam papers. I focus more on what the student prefers rather than sticking with a numerable list.
