About Erin
Hi! My name is Erin, I am 20 years old and am studying English Literature in Glasgow at the moment. For some fun facts: I have played cello for 13 years, I absolutely love playing video games and watching YouTube, and in my spare time I like painting and doodling in one of my many notepads. I won't pretend to have much experience, however I am good at adapting to situations, and have had a lot of experience helping other people, which I would like to expend to tutoring and helping others get the most out of life and opportunities without making work boring- especially when there is so much life hidden in words, books and poetry! I am also completely open to critique - if something doesn't work for you, I will go through more options because your experience with any sessions we have should be a completely positive one. My only downside is I cannot do in-person sessions - I am very back and forth from places, and don't want to commit to in-person sessions where I would be unable to practise any consistency with my location, and it would therefore not be as beneficial to you.

Depending on what you need help with, I have found that active recall and making sure you fully understand the concepts you are being taught greatly boosts your memory and capabilities, but everyone is different! For some, working specifically on what you struggle with until it sticks, or breaking down ideas and words (especially in literature) really helps. I'd be happy with hour-long sessions (any longer causes tiredness, which doesn't help anybody!). I have experience tutoring for the younger years in my high school and have helped my younger sister also achieve A grades when she struggled with English. I am comfortable teaching for both GCSE levels, and A levels, and will easily adjust to your syllabus / reading lists to make your experience more tailored for you.
