About Megan
I received an 80+ aggregate for the NSC at Westerford High School. Currently, I am completing a BA in English and Media Studies at UCT. I have experience in both private and group tutoring dating back to 2016, and have 5 years of babysitting experience. I have helped children and teenagers with their organisational skills as well as try to improve their academic ability in subjects such as English, Afrikaans, Maths, Music, and Geography.

Because of my experiences tutoring both teens and children, I've come to understand that they tire easily. To overcome this, I try to incorporate fun activities within my teaching. For example, I tested a child's time's tables while doing hopscotch. I understand that some people learn differently and I try to make it about the learners, rather than about the subject, to try and get them to want to learn and improve. My lesson structure normally follows the sequence of testing ideas from last session to make sure the pupil/s remember/s everything, and then introducing a new subject: starting small and adding more steps or difficulty as the pupil/s gain/s more confidant.
