About Alexandria
Hi! My name is Alexandria. I have a passion for helping individuals reach their academic potential. I have a degree in English and have a year of professional experience as a writing tutor in the college setting. I have worked inside of college classrooms as well as in-person and online tutoring sessions. I believe in not only giving critical feedback, but also acknowledging areas of strength. I think that everyone has something important to say, no matter the skill level. Being able to effectively articulate oneself in writing can be incredibly empowering and rewarding. I love being able to be a part of this rewarding and challenging process.

I focus on fostering independence in the students I work with. While I cannot do assignments for students, I will provide resources to help teach and clarify areas of struggle in the writing process.
A typical online meeting will start with introductions and the student sending me a copy of their essay for me to look over. I will provide feedback on formatting, content, grammar, sentence structure and other concerns. If the assignment is for a particular course, I will also ask for instructions for the assignment if available.
Sessions are ideal for students at the junior college level and below. However, I can provide assistance in specific areas regardless of level (thesis construction, MLA format, clarity and flow etc.).
