About Kuni
My name is Kuni, and I’m a future educator driven by a deep passion for teaching and empowering young minds. I’m currently studying a Master of Teaching and hold a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Gender Studies and Philosophy. My academic journey has shaped my love for learning and deepened my commitment to helping others grow into confident, critical, and compassionate thinkers. I chose teaching because I believe in education as a transformative force—not just to pass exams, but to inspire self-awareness, creativity, and independence. As someone who has experienced the challenges of traditional schooling systems, I understand how important it is for students to feel supported and truly engaged in what they’re learning. That’s why I strive to build learning spaces where students feel safe to explore, question, and express themselves. In my lessons, I teach English, Philosophy, and Humanities to primary and secondary students. I focus on helping learners build essential skills for their future—critical thinking, written and verbal communication, ethical reasoning, and analytical understanding. My goal is to not only help students succeed academically, but also guide them toward becoming thoughtful, empowered individuals who are ready to shape the world. Teaching, for me, is about nurturing potential and creating meaningful connections. I’m passionate about helping each student find their voice, discover their strengths, and realize they are capable of more than they believe.

My lessons go beyond just meeting curriculum requirements—they’re designed to shape thoughtful, confident, and capable individuals. I specialise in tutoring English, Philosophy, and Humanities subjects for primary and secondary students within the Australian education system. Whether we’re breaking down a novel, improving essay writing, exploring ethical dilemmas, or unpacking social issues, my goal is to help students develop the skills they’ll carry for life.
In my sessions, students learn how to think critically, communicate clearly, and express their ideas with confidence—skills that are essential not only for academic success but also for becoming active, informed participants in the world. I support learners in improving their reading comprehension, written expression, analytical thinking, and argumentation, while also fostering creativity and curiosity.
Through English and Philosophy, students learn to question assumptions, evaluate evidence, and engage in meaningful conversations about identity, justice, and society. These are the foundations for becoming ethical, empathetic, and empowered future leaders, no matter what path they choose. My lessons encourage students to find their voice, trust their thinking, and feel proud of their progress—because learning isn’t just about grades, it’s about growth.
