About Edward
I have a Bachelor's degree in Teaching English as a second language from the University of Quebec in Montreal. From 2004 until 2018 I taught English in Quebec's elementary and secondary schools. In 2018 I moved my practice online, first teaching for a Chinese company called VIPKID where I taught English to Chinese students for 2 years. Since 2020, I have been teaching English privately, online, to my own clientele, teaching to elementary and secondary students as well as many adults. My strongest point as a teacher is my ability to allow students to relax, accept their mistakes without getting stressed out about them, and guide them towards their goals in a fun and friendly fashion.

My classes are given in a relaxed conversational style, focusing on the specific needs of each individual student. I use a vast array of different approaches, including informal conversation, grammar lessons and exercises, written texts on various subjects, audio and video recordings, pronunciation drills and games. Since I have taught to all levels over my 25-year career as an ESL teacher, I am able to adapt my lessons to my students' level and interests. I have classes available for elementary and secondary students, as well as adult learners, as well as courses in Business English.
