About Tatiana
My first diploma was teacher of English as a foreign language. Then, I completed post-graduate studies in linguistics and defended a thesis in English Etymology. In Russia, I taught English to many age groups, from elementary school students to university level, in groups and privately. I like a one-on-one approach as I enjoy "tailoring" teaching specifically to my student's needs. I have been living in Canada for 20 years now and can say that English became my first language. I worked an office job for some years but now I would like to return to teaching. I find it emotionally rewarding and I find there is nothing more exciting than helping one's students achieve improving their language skills, to be able to communicate better. In 2022, I got my CELTA certificate from Cambridge, so I'm fully equipped to teach online!

I will start by identifying your needs. What is your current situation? Are you getting ready for a test/exam, do you want to write your job resume, or do you wish to be able to strike a conversation in English while on vacation? Driven by that, my typical lesson will have a warm-up, the core topic vocabulary, some grammar to help the structure, and we can even throw some singing in! We will finish with a "takeaway" summary and a bit of homework to go.

Tatiana was a tutor of my kids. Patient, with personalised approach she improved their language skills tremendously! Very nice and easy to work with person and very knowledgeable teacher.
Tatiana helped my kids with their English lessons . She is highly professional, kind and kids love her.
Tatiana is a brilliant teacher and has always been since our graduation from teachers training institute in1987. She is highly qualified, responsible and full of humour. If you are a keen reader of classics, she will be the best companion to discuss a book.
I am a native English speaker and Tatiana constantly corrects my grammar! I may be biased, but she is truly a great teacher - it is her passion and her calling!
