About Dana
After teaching for over 20 years in all grade levels from 6th grade through 8th grade, I am a compassionate and knowledgeable teacher who prides herself on helping students feel confident in their writing skills, literary analysis, and editing competency. I believe that everyone has untapped creativity. Encouraging it is joyful for me. I try to understand my students and help them find their unique voice.

I approach each student as the opportunity to discover and nourish their gifts. I provide prompts, teach writing techniques, help tap into creativity, and coach editing practices. I also love coaching actors preparing for audition as well as students who are nervous about public speaking.
