About Tessa
My interest in English education began through a love of communication and the ways language connects people from different backgrounds. This passion led me to complete a Bachelor of Arts in English Studies followed by a Master of Arts in Applied English Studies. Over the past 10 years, I have worked with learners of different ages and goals, helping them build confidence through supportive and engaging instruction. Teaching English allows me to help students unlock new opportunities while developing valuable communication skills.
I enjoy creating lessons that feel practical, approachable, and encouraging. My teaching style emphasizes natural conversation, meaningful interaction, and gradual improvement. Students are encouraged to participate actively, ask questions, and use English in ways that feel relevant to their lives. By focusing on communication and confidence, I help learners build skills they can apply immediately in everyday situations.
Outside teaching, I enjoy reading, exploring different cultures, and studying language development. These interests help me bring variety and fresh perspectives into my lessons. Watching students become more comfortable and confident using English is one of the most rewarding aspects of my work.
