About Liz
I am a highly experienced teacher who since retiring from full-time work wants to continue focusing on teaching English while making time for personal writing and for my work in India.

I enjoy teaching school students and adults who are committed to improving their English skills and who value friendly and focused teaching which understands their concerns and interests. I especially enjoy teaching classes on Shakespeare and on using the voice effectively. I have many years of senior level experience in teaching English in secondary schools and as a teacher-trainer. As part of my work I developed a three hour workshop "Voiceclass" which was highly valued by students in helping them to speak more confidently and to listen well.
Lessons are typically from one to two hours. For Voiceclass, lessons are three hours and are designed for groups of between 5-15 but can be tailored to individuals.
I welcome enquiries from students aged 16 and upwards, particularly those anxious about school exams and those transitioning from school to university or into the workplace.
