About Haaniya
Hi, I'm Haaniya - currently a biomedicine student at the University of Melbourne - and I have been a student in The University High School's Acceleration Program for years 7-8 from where I sat the select entry test and was chosen for a place at Mac.Robertson Girls' High School. With a 40 in VCE English Language, I'm confident in teaching English in a meaningful way to establish a strong foundation in grammar, spelling, semantics, and syntax, as well as an understanding of what makes a STELLAR essay - not just a good one. I have experience in tutoring all kinds of ages from prep to grade 6 and am willing to take on year 7 and 8 students too.

Sessions go for ~1 hour and are aimed towards students anywhere up to year 8. Students get active feedback from a student who has *firsthand experience* in both A.P and select entry exams on essays they have previously completed. They will also have dedicated time to complete practice essays under timed conditions. Vocabulary, grammar, and punctuation can all be strengthened if attention is needed. Lessons are accommodating towards the student's level. I.e. for younger students (years prep to 4); spelling and grammar are the focus and timed conditions are not necessary.
