• Connection to Prior Knowledge: We’ll discuss how the day’s topic relates to what you’ve previously learned, facilitating a cohesive learning journey.
2. Presentation of New Material:
• Interactive Reading: Engaging with new texts through read-aloud sessions or shared reading to introduce fresh concepts.
• Strategy Modeling: Demonstrating specific reading strategies, such as summarizing or questioning, to aid comprehension.
3. Guided Practice:
• Collaborative Activities: Working together on exercises that apply the newly introduced strategies, with my support to address any challenges.
4. Independent Practice:
• Individual Assignments: Providing opportunities for you to apply the strategies independently, reinforcing your skills and building confidence.

• KWL Charts:
• Activating Prior Knowledge: Utilizing charts to outline what you Know, what you Want to know, and what you’ve Learned about a topic, thereby setting clear learning objectives and tracking your progress.
