About Brooks
With 6 years of professional singing coaching, I bring both performance experience and vocal pedagogy to my teaching. My own singing journey began in community choirs and solo performances, evolving into formal training in vocal technique and music theory. I’ve coached a wide range of students, from shy beginners to experienced performers seeking refinement. My teaching style is supportive and tailored to individual needs. I emphasise vocal health and sustainable practices, ensuring my students can sing freely without damage or fatigue. I use a variety of tools, including recordings, video feedback, and live demonstrations, to create an interactive learning environment. I am passionate about helping students find their unique voice and express themselves fully. Witnessing students develop confidence and achieve breakthroughs in their singing is deeply rewarding. Singing lessons in Edinburgh are designed to help you discover the full potential of your voice through focused technique and expressive performance. We work on phrasing, vibrato, and dynamic control to bring songs to life with authenticity and power. I tailor song choices to suit your voice type and musical preferences, ranging from pop and jazz to musical theatre and classical. Performance techniques, including microphone handling and stage presence, are introduced to help you feel confident in any setting. Beyond technique, I encourage self-expression and creativity. Through guided improvisation, lyric interpretation, and storytelling, students learn to communicate emotion and meaning through their singing. Regular practice recordings and constructive feedback sessions allow you to track your growth and continuously refine your artistry.
