About Mylan
Hello Hope you are well. I am looking to tutor students of all abilities and I have tutored many students who are now at universities such as Oxford, Cambridge, Durham, Birmingham, Harvard, and MIT. I will copy the results of my previous students below and, if there is anything else you would like to know, please drop me a message: A level: A* = 88% A = 12% B-U = 0% (please note: 1 student did achieve a B but this was through tuition when I was still at school myself!) Number of students = 72 GCSE: 9 = 86% 8 = 14% 7-1 = 0% Number of students = 83 Private school applicants: 53/53 have gone to their first choice school, including Eton, Harrow, and Westminster (so a 100% success rate) 45/53 have achieved a scholarship (84.9%) Oxbridge applicants: 25/25 have been successful (so a 100% success rate) Russell Group university applicants: 48/48 have gone to their first choice Russell Group university (so a 100% success rate) Music examinations: Distinction = 87% Merit = 13% Pass = 0% Fail = 0% I am also an examiner for all of the major exam boards (right up to A level) and I'm a visiting tutor at Eton College and Westminster School. I am due to start lecturing at Oxford University later this year too. Perhaps you know someone who needs just that little bit of extra help over the summer in order to achieve the grades they need for their exams or even to fulfil their university requirements? Or maybe you need some help for entrance exams at private secondary schools (just recently, I have prepared students for their successful entrance exams into Eton College)? I also have helped students with Oxbridge, Harvard, and MIT applications with a 100% success rate, with 63% achieving some sort of scholarship. My lessons are completely tailored to the needs of the student but, largely, they consist of: - An informal initial assessment so that I know where the student is at and therefore what we will need to work on going forward - Content sessions, ensuring every student has A* notes - Revision strategies - School test preparation - Homework help - Exam technique straight away (it is always best to incorporate exam technique as early as possible to ensure that it feels like second nature by the time of the student's exams) - Much more! Mylan is a great tutor! He’s very keen and I felt that he genuinely cared. He puts so much preparation into every lesson so that I could really make the most out them. I was a D/E grade student for A level Maths and I got a B thanks to this guy!! So now I have a place at Bristol Uni to study Architecture as a result!!
Mylan was amazing! It was his work that secured my place at Christ Church to study Medicine. I very often got quite stressed as the odds were never in my favour (for medicine, around 34 people apply for every 1 place). He. assured that all of my grades at A level were full marks or very close to it in order to give me the best head start. We then also worked on interview techniques (as well as BMAT tests), which was invaluable - I learned so so much!
I'd just like to say that Mylan's lessons didn't feel like lessons at all. Within all of my sessions, I learnt so much and the hour or 2 hours really did fly past. Anyone who has Mylan as a teacher is a very lucky person (believe me) for I would not be pursuing my dreams at Oxford right now if it wasn't for him :)Mylan was amazing!
