About Pavel
I have always loved learning languages huge fun as they would open new cultures for me. During my Master's programme in English language and literature, I also completed a CELTA course in teaching English as a foreign language, followed by Level 7 Cambridge Delta, to get an even deeper insight into effective language teaching methodologies. These apply to all languages, not just English. I like to get to know more about my students and turn them into confident communicators in Czech so they can function in most day-to-day situations.

The focus on sessions is always communicative. Each session has a theme, e.g. day-to-day activities, attending a birthday party, planning a weekend, etc. and for each theme a worksheet of key vocabulary and phrases is provided. We pay a lot of attention to pronunciation including rhythm and intonation. A short text or dialogue is then explored for grammatical and morphological features, which leads to a series of controlled exercises. Following that, we will role-play the new language, improvising with vocabulary and grammar, to give you confidence in expressing yourself.
