I offer enthusiastic, friendly, and tailored trumpet and brass lessons that help students grow in both confidence and ability. I create personalised lesson plans for each student, adapting to their individual learning styles and practical performance goals. I have taught core music theory from beginner to Grade 8, covering areas such as harmony, counterpoint, and aural skills to ensure a well-rounded understanding of musical principles. I have prepared students for practical exams on trumpet, trombone, French horn, and piano, supporting them from beginner through to Grade 8. In lessons, I also guide students through the analysis of musical works, helping them to identify structure, tonality, and style across a range of genres. I regularly prepare students for ABRSM theory exams, providing structured practice, clear feedback, and exam strategies to help them succeed. I maintain open and supportive communication with parents, keeping them informed of progress and areas for improvement, and ensuring consistent encouragement throughout the student’s musical journey.
