About Jade
I have a strong foundation in the biological sciences, built through comprehensive education and hands-on research experience. My journey in science began in secondary school, studying maths, biology, physics, and chemistry, at honours level and achieving all A’s in my final examinations. During my BSc, I extensively covered key areas of medical sciences, including anatomy, physiology, biochemistry, genetics, molecular and cellular biology, epidemiology, and pharmacology ultimately receiving a first class honours. I have currently completed 2 semesters in the University of Oxford studying Integrative Immunology.

I focus on fostering a deep understanding of science rather than relying on rote memorisation. My teaching approach is interactive and discussion-based—I ask thought-provoking questions to guide students towards discovering answers themselves. By encouraging curiosity and critical thinking, I aim to help students grasp fundamental concepts, making complex topics more intuitive and memorable. With years of experience as a student, I have gained insight into the most effective and impactful teaching methods. I have also completed a certified 120 hour TEFL (teaching English as a foreign language) and have received some training in teaching methods throughout my master's programme. I am available for lessons for the following: - Biology; primary, secondary/GSCE/A-levels/Leaving certificate, - Chemistry; primary to GSCE/junior certificate, - Physics; primary to GSCE. (*I am also happy to help anyone that just wants to learn science!) Lessons will last 60 minutes. Depending on the student and their needs. I will tailor lessons to suit you!
