About Ronke
Hey, I'm Ronke! I am a singer/songwriter and music teacher based in London. I am very passionate about music, and have experienced first hand the therapeutic benefits gained from learning, making and performing music. I have performed professionally for over 10 years. Some of the venues I’ve played include the 100 club, All Points East festival, Greenman festival. I’ve also helped vocally prepare artists for performances at the Jazz cafe, Latitude festival, Lee festival, South Bank Queen Elizabeth hall, Australia commonwealth games, Village Underground, amongst others. My experience also includes choir performances under the tutelage of award winning singer/songwriter Marcia Escoffery; I also provided gospel style background vocals for George Taylor in his smash hit “Give it up”.

I specialise in building musical confidence, refining your technique, expanding your vocal range, and getting you to the next level! My lessons will focus on developing your vocal ability to give your voice the presence, power and resonance needed to make an impact. If you are a fan of vocal runs, tricks, licks and trills - we can work on these too. I believe these are so vitally important to help increase your vocal versatility and give you the confidence to truly make a song your own. I have an eclectic ear and can support you with learning vocal techniques across multiple musical genres, including (but not limited to) Jazz, Pop, RnB, Rock, Folk, Country and anything in between. I teach both children and adults, and support my students in finding and developing their own unique vocal style, whether they desire to take on a new hobby, or perform professionally. If you need support with vocal grades, I am happy to work from any of the exam boards. Instrumentally, my two passions are clarinet and piano, I specialise in teaching beginner level of these instruments. I love working with and developing complete beginners, young children and adults. I believe in a strong foundation of sight reading and musical theory to support your journey to becoming a well-rounded musician. Lessons are fun, engaging, and challenging - in a good way! So you get the best out of it, and get closer to achieving your musical goals. I am always motivating, supportive, and incorporate creative techniques to help with your musical learning - helping you to progress quickly.
