About Wendy
Currently I teach financial education in British schools, but miss my English as a Second Language classes and looking to gain a few students a week. My last role was Academic Director for six language schools in Kyiv, where I designed programmes for ages 7 up to adults - and trained and monitored our staff in the delivery. Prior to this, I lectured Business English to college students in Kosovo. I have also taught in Spain, Italy and South Korea. I've taught for specific exams, such as PET, KET and IELTS - or for confidence in general English proficiency. From absolute beginners to advanced of all ages.

Language learning really comes in peaks and troughs - once you hit a wall in learning the language it's really difficult to get motivated to push on further.
That's why making things interesting and fun in the lesson is vital - as is running through how much has been learnt at the end of each session. Making the language relevant to the student, bringing in debates or gamification to make it memorable - this is what I really base my lessons around.
