About Nicky
H!! My name is Nicky and I am an ESL teacher from south east England with 12 years experience. I have taught English in Spain, Thailand, the Czech Republic, New Zealand and Scotland. I have experience teaching all levels from beginner to proficient, including Young Learners, Teens and Adults. In addition, I have prepared students for a range of international examinations, including all levels of Cambridge exams and IELTS. I am also a speaking examiner and trained invigilator for Cambridge.

I use a variety of methods as I believe in a tailor-made approach to learning, where activities suit each student's needs. A needs analysis will always be done with every learner to establish their needs. I am keen on doing plenty of error correction and analysis of students' work, in order to promote awareness and ways in which learners can use English more effectively in their lives. In addition, I also adopt topic-based activities, incorporating as many skills as possible connected to a theme. Including learners' interests allows me to prepare fun and engaging lessons.
