About Diara
My interest in Excel began when I realised how important data organisation and analysis are in many fields. This led me to pursue a PhD in Information Systems, where I developed strong knowledge of data management tools. Over the past 6 years, I have helped students and professionals learn Excel through clear explanations and practical training. Teaching allows me to share my knowledge while helping others build useful skills.
My teaching approach focuses on clarity, hands-on practice, and adaptability. I believe students learn best when they actively work with spreadsheets while learning concepts. I demonstrate each feature step by step and then guide learners as they practice. I also adjust my teaching style based on the student’s needs so they feel comfortable and supported throughout the process.
I continue exploring new Excel features and improving my teaching methods to provide better lessons. Watching students grow from beginners to confident users is very rewarding. Many learners start with little experience but gradually develop strong skills and independence. Helping them achieve this progress and feel confident in their abilities motivates me to continue teaching with dedication.

Excel becomes more useful when students understand how to organise and analyse data effectively. In my lessons, I focus on teaching spreadsheet basics, formulae, charts, and data analysis tools using simple and practical explanations. I guide students step by step so they understand how each feature works and how it can be applied in real situations. I use examples such as budgeting, tracking records, and analysing reports to make learning meaningful and relevant. This approach helps students connect theory with practice and improves their confidence.
Lessons are designed based on the student’s level and learning needs. Beginners focus on understanding spreadsheet layout, basic formulae, and data entry. Intermediate learners work on functions, sorting, filtering, and chart creation. Advanced students focus on pivot tables, advanced formulae, and data analysis techniques that improve efficiency. I include regular practice exercises so students can apply what they learn and improve steadily. Clear feedback helps them correct mistakes and build stronger skills.
As students progress, they begin to see Excel as a powerful tool rather than a difficult software. Many learners gain confidence as they learn to manage data effectively and complete tasks efficiently. These skills become useful in academic work and professional environments. My goal is to help students feel comfortable using Excel and develop practical skills that they can apply confidently in real-life situations.
