About Fatima
As a drama teacher I also write, direct and produce original pieces. It important that our stories are told authentically and storytelling and the dramatization thereof in musicals, live drama productions is empowering and important.
Over the past +-25 years I've been working in communities, transferring the skill of dramatic arts as therapeutic tool as well.
I have Reached between 300 - 400 learners aged between 7yrs - 47
Some are professionals actors today, some are still studying and some have gained the confidence they needed in their academic careers
Sometimes I act also in local stage and films productions regularly just to keep me relevant and to sharpen my skills

My teaching method is organic. I meet my students at their level and we journey together to the next level. It is important that students explore their own creativity and than I combine it with the normal dramatic arts Technics like, improvisation and characterization,
Most of my students have to overcome socio-economic and emotional challenges so I use that as a vehicle for them to interpret the scripts we have or the stories they write themselves. It is more important to understand than to meet flexible timelines.
