  • When did you first develop a passion for music and your favorite instrument?

I grew up in a musical family-my grandfather was a pianist and theory teacher, my mom played piano, and my dad had a deep love for guitar and music in general. My first instrument was piano, then guitar, and eventually drums. But it all came together when I started singing around 15. That's when I felt music become an emotional outlet rather than just a skill. Singing is my passion-it's the most personal, expressive instrument I have. It connects me to myself like nothing else.
  • Is there a particular type of music or artist that you listen to on a loop without it driving you crazy?

Definitely. I could listen to Pink Floyd, Nirvana, Queen, Green Day, or The Lumineers all day long. There's something timeless in their sound-whether it's raw emotion, epic arrangement, or just a beautiful sense of storytelling. I never get tired of the textures and energy they bring.
  • Explain to us the most difficult or riveting course you could personally give to a student of music.

The most challenging course-hands down-is music theory. Most students dread it at first. It feels like the opposite of creativity, almost like a science that kills the vibe. But once I show them how theory is just a language to describe what they already feel and hear, things click. I teach it in a way that's fun, practical, and empowering-so instead of stifling creativity, it unlocks new doors.
  • What do you think is the most complicated instrument to master and why?

The voice. No doubt. It's the most natural instrument to start with, but also the most personal and unpredictable. Your voice is part of your body, so it changes with age, emotion, sleep, health-everything. Mastering it means mastering yourself. It's a journey of self-awareness, discipline, and emotional connection. That's what makes it so complex-and so rewarding.
  • What are your keys to success?

    Positive mindset. Consistency. Vision.

If you believe in what you're doing, show up for it every day, and keep your eyes on the bigger picture-you're already ahead of most people. That's the foundation I live and work by.
  • Name three musicians you dream of meeting in your favorite bar in the early hours of the morning. Explain why.

Daniel Gildenlöw from Pain of Salvation-he's a lyrical genius and his emotional depth is off the charts. Mike Portnoy from Dream Theater-I'd love to talk rhythm, life on the road, and his insane discipline. And David Gilmour from Pink Floyd-just to sit in silence and soak up his presence would be enough. Though I'd be lying if I didn't mention how wild it would be to meet Freddie Mercury or Stevie Nicks too.
  • Provide a valuable anecdote related to music or your days at music school.

All my life, people told me to listen more than I speak. It didn't hit me fully until Berklee, where I had the chance to jam with insanely talented musicians. I realized that the best jams didn't come from showing off-they came from deep listening. True musical connection comes when you're fully present, free from overthinking, and completely locked into the moment. That's when magic happens.
  • What are the little touches that make you a Superprof in music?

My background in vocal and music production, paired with years of experience as a singer, gives me a unique edge. But what truly makes me stand out is my approach-I don't try to mold students into something they're not. I help them amplify what makes them special. I'm here to guide, not to impose. That makes all the difference.
