Hi! My name is Mara. I'm a summa cum laude graduate of Front Range Community College with an associate of arts in communication. Communication was a good major for me because I love learning about people. I look forward to getting to know each of the students I tutor.

I teach reading using the Barton system. According to the Barton website the Barton system is "a multi-sensory, direct, explicit, structured and sequential program designed for intense intervention". I have gained experience teaching Barton through volunteer tutoring the past several months.
For best results, Barton recommends 2 hours of tutoring a week. I like to split this up into 4 half hour sessions a week.
