About Lawrence
I have many years of experience in the entertainment industry (with lots of jobs on the literary side too).
I have acted extensively on stage - as well as on TV and film. I love all mediums. Acting led me to writing - and then also directing (for film and stage). I am currently producing a feature film that I wrote - and which has some very well-known actors and director already attached.
I have taught acting on the high school level (in Beverly Hills) and college level (as a TA at UCLA) and privately coached actors extensively over the years. Plus, I've directed short films and several, successful professional stage shows.
I also have a great deal of experience as a pianist and often work with actors in musical theater, helping them with singing auditions in addition to monologue or scene work.

We will focus on monologue and scene work. We'll really delve into the text and the character.
If you are getting ready for an audition (live or self-tape), we'll make sure you are ready to shine! If you are already cast but needed extra attention, I'll help you with in-depth character work (and possibly assign additional reading).
If you have a musical theater audition coming up (or are cast currently in a show), I can also provide guidance with vocals and play piano to get you ready for this too.
I'm very detailed-oriented, creative, and hard-working. I help my students/clients get the best results possible - for any sort of performing endeavor (theater, film, TV, music, etc.). I look forward to hearing from you. I am Ivy-League educated (Brown University; BA in Theater) and I have my MFA in writing from UCLA - Summa Cum Laude.
