About Allie-Rae
Hi! My name is Allie-Rae. I recently graduated with an MFA in Professional Acting from LAMDA, and before that I worked as an actor in LA for 8 years. Maybe you've seen me as Gretchen in Netflix's "Atypical," or more recently performing in plays and experimental theatre on stages throughout London, Romania, and Edinburgh! I also worked extensively for a programme called Shakespeare in Schools, which aimed to cultivate passion for Shakespeare in a wide array of secondary schools throughout London.
In my lessons, I draw on my extensive academic training and professional, real-life experience to create lessons that are grounded equally in technique as well as rigorous play and discovery stemming from the actor's imagination. I have a background in movement and music, and am trained in the methodologies of Hagen, Meisner, Chekhov, Stanislavsky, Alexander, Linklater, Rodenburg, Laban/Malmgren, and more. I believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach to the craft of acting. I'm passionate about helping my students discover what works best for them and really makes them pop off.

I offer 1:1 acting classes, coaching for drama school auditions for both UK and US schools, and coaching for professional industry auditions and self-tapes.
I am trained and deeply knowledgeable in a range of modern acting methodologies, and I pull from all of them to create an approach that is catered to the creative instincts of the individual student. Whether they are trying to find the perfect classical text monologue for their drama school audition, or have a recall for a major network show, I am passionate about helping my students thrive and find joy in the process through embracing their unique voice and perspective.
My coaching sessions range from 30 minutes to 2 hours, depending on what my student is working on. I work with ages 14 and above, and welcome all levels of experience. LGBTQIA+ friendly.

Details
I can teach over zoom, but I believe in-person lessons are more effective for the student. I am able to travel to your home, or you are welcome to come to my spacious flat in West London.
I charge a small transport fee of £8 per hour travelled.
