About Mike
I have over 15 years of experience in the public speaking world. I started my time with public speaking at a very early age of 12 years old writing and delivering speeches. I continued on to middle and high school where I started to get into the competitive public speaking world and debate as well. Then I went into college where I continued competitive speech and debate. I have won awards both nationally and statewide on the high school and college circuits. I also have five years of experience teaching and coaching college and high school students in competitive and educational public speaking.

My teaching method is expensive. I teach both competitive and casual educational public speaking. The way I teach those courses differs depending on what is wanted by the student. I start with setting clear expectations for myself and my students. Once I know what the student wants out of the course I cater my lesson to the student or students that I’m teaching. I have dozens of vocal exercises and pneumonic devices for memorization that can be utilized by the students on their own time to put them ahead of the curve. I also rely heavily on lots of practice and making sure my students understand the lessons through demonstration.
