About Emily
Hi, I'm Emily! I am a Classics PhD Doctoral Researcher at Royal Holloway, University of London. I have tutored for several years and currently work as a Tutorial Leader at Royal Holloway and University College London (UCL) for the Classics and History Departments, where I teach various classes. I completed an undergraduate and master's degree in Ancient History, with a year studying abroad at Korea University in Seoul. I am passionate about history and its relation to today's world. Having tutored for six years with First Class Learning and Explore Learning in Maths and English, from ages four to sixteen, I am keen to continue tutoring.

As a tutor, I encourage confidence and enthusiasm in one's learning, building upon a student's capabilities and exploring what they are passionate about to achieve successful results. Building resilience and belief in yourself and your abilities makes a massive impact. As such, every lesson plan is tailored to a student's individual needs. We won't just focus on topic knowledge; we'll also work on effective study skills, with tips and tricks to help students flourish during stressful exam seasons. I am happy to work with students across ages, levels, and abilities, with lessons of all varying lengths tailored to each student's desires. I am happy to help students, regardless of their age, ability or needs, to encourage successful and animated learning.
